This is the second Black Grouse lekking painting that I have created and it was a total joy to do. These two are engrossed in combat and will fight until the best man wins and leaves the area. These beautiful birds are not captured in canvas very often so it was fantastic to be able to indulge again. Watch this space for many more as I love the iridescent blues, blacks and greens that make this elusive bird so enigmatic and wonderful to embrace.
